Loratadine and Acetaminophen Together

allergy medication, over the counter

is it ok to take loratadine and acetaminophen together

Can I take Loratadine and Acetaminophen together at the same time?

Loratadine is an antihistamine or allergy medication. The active ingredient blocks histamine in the body to reduce the symptoms of allergies. It is sold under the brand name Claritin®. The most common side effects include headache and drowsiness.

Acetaminophen is the active ingredient in Tylenol®. It is typically used to reduce pain and fever.

It is safe to use the medications together at the same time.  There is no interaction between loratadine and acetaminophen. If you can tolerated either medication by itself then the combination should also be well tolerated.

As always, if you are not absolutely positive you can use a certain medication speak with your doctor or pharmacist. They can help you determine if the medication is appropriate and safe for you.
