Can I use Guaifenesin and Loratadine together?

Guaifenesin is an expectorant. It thins mucus making it easier to cough up and clear from the body. It is typically tolerated very well and has a low incidence of side effects. It is often found in cough syrups and cold medication.

Loratadine is a an antihistamine or allergy medication. It blocks the action of histamine in the body and reduces allergy symptoms. It generally has a low incidence of side effects. It may also be used to help dry up the congestion associated with a cold.

No major interactions have been identified between loratadine and guaifenesin. May people use them together safely.
