There have been no major interactions between the medications identified. One should be careful when starting the two medications together to ensure blood pressure doesn’t drop too low – leading to dizziness. Most people tolerate the combination of the two medications very well. Losartan plus atenolol may be need to control blood pressure when one medication isn’t enough or if the healthcare provider determines both medications could be of benefit to the patient.
