Can you take Lisinopril and Ibuprofen together? It is not recommended.
The Ibuprofen can reduce the blood pressure lowering effect of the lisinopril and can increase the risk of kidney damage.
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the two medications together. If they feel it is ok for you – be sure you monitor your blood pressure and have your kidney function monitored when you visit the doctor.
This risk includes all the NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) like naproxen. It is best to check with a health care provider before using any over-the-counter medications with Lisinopril.
