Can Lisinopril be cut in half

Most Lisinopril tablets can be cut in half, they are not extended release nor do they have protective coating.  You may want to check with your pharmacist to be certain.

A word of caution, cutting tablets in half may result is less accurate doses.  However, for a medication like lisinopril, cutting the tablet should not cause any problems for most people.

Check with you health care provider before cutting your tablets.  There may be a lower strength that can save you time.

When taking this blood pressure medication it is a good idea to monitor your pressure on a regular basis and take those reading with you to your appointments.
